What is Purification (Tazkiyah)?

Many halal-screened stocks, ETFs, and crypto projects still earn a small percentage of their income from non-compliant sources (interest income, alcohol, conventional insurance, etc.). Scholars recommend "purifying" your portfolio by donating this proportional share to charity.

Purification = Non-Compliant % × Annual Dividend Received

Formula (no dividends, holding-based):

Purification = Non-Compliant % × Current Holding Value

Non-compliant % is published by Islamic screening agencies (MSCI, Refinitiv, Ideal Ratings, etc.).
